FLEURS ET CHEVAUX
J’ai évité ces 2 sujets pendant des années. Ils ont été utilisés tant de fois par tant d’artistes talentueux et célèbres, et beaucoup d’autres moins talentueux. Malgré mon amour des chevaux et ma fascination avec les fleurs je n’en ai peint que quelques-uns car il y a un grand risque de tomber dans les images mièvres et clichées.
Récemment j’ai voulu explorer l’abstrait et les fleurs m’ont semblé être un bon point de départ.
Pour les chevaux on m’a demandé d’en peindre quelques-uns pour décorer une boutique équestre et quand j’ai commencé, j’ai continué.
Je reste à distance d’une représentation exacte de l’animal ou du végétal en apportant un élément très décoratif.
Toutes ces toiles sont peintes à l’acrylique et de la peinture de maison.
FLOWERS AND HORSES,
I have avoided those 2 subjects for many years. They have been painted so many times by so many famous and talented artists and many not so talented artists. Despite my love of horses and fascination with flowers I only painted a few as there is a strong risk to fall in the trite or clichés images.
Recently I wanted to explore abstract and flowers felt like a good departure point.
For the Horses I was asked to paint a few to decorate a small equestrian boutique and when I got started I kept going.
I am staying away from an exacting rendition of the animal or the vegetal bringing a strong decorative touch.
All those canvases were painted with acrylic and house paints.
